Perma-Stamp™
Before Perma-Stamp™, customized pre-inked handstamps did not exist. Porelon's founder Sam Johnson acquired the technology in the 1950s and applied it to create the Original Pad-Free Stamp. Although Perma-Stamp™ is no longer actively marketed, the product remains one of the industry's most important innovations. Perma-Stamp™ was made with a liquid mixture of ink and resins that formed a Microporous structure when vulcanized. When pressed against a substrate, the retained ink was released, leaving a high quality impression. Products such as SP™ and All Gel™ represent the evolution of the technology for modern applications, but the legacy and impact of Perma-Stamp™ endures.
